2000 with 2000 campaign
The “2000 with 2000” campaign was launched on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, with the idea of inviting the general public to participate in creating a network of patrons.
Our goal is to attract two thousand modern patrons of the arts, during the seven weeks of the campaign, to donate 2000 dinars (20EUR). The idea is to create a new model of support for art and culture based on the old tradition of patronage, and that will allow our Association (ULUS) to become sustainable.
By donating 2000 dinars (20EUR), the patron will simultaneously become a member of the informal “Society of Art Lovers ULUS”, which we are creating together through this action. This Society is conceived as an informal group of citizens, art lovers, or simply people who share the human values, art and culture are certainly in that discourse.
For the first two weeks, we let the campaign run without intensive promotion, purely to see how the concept would turn out, but also to come up with adequate promotion on our own (read no financial aid) and have time to eliminate any possible technical problems, which fortunately were not many. We have received 82 payments during the past two weeks, which brought us 4% closer to the planned goal. The feedback is really good, or more precisely, no one is indifferent.
We emphasise affirmative reactions and well-intentioned criticism, which help us do everything better. Тhere is no need to engage in empty criticism, of which there is too much in our society. This campaign is intended for those who can and want to see a good story, which we can create together with the community, through solidarity and awakening the love for art and culture.
Art and culture cannot exist without support, primarily institutional, but also from all others who want to preserve what is valuable, and our campaign is aimed precisely in that direction – to preserve ULUS.
We understand this as a joint campaign for the association’s recovery. Everyone is invited and everyone can contribute in their own way. We believe that the power of solidarity through unity will make our campaign “2000sa2000” successful.
