Skin in the Game Protocols for Emergent Art Collectives: online presentation
The Association of Visual Artists Serbia (ULUS) invites you to the presentation Skin in the Game Protocols for Emergent Art Collectives by Erik Bordeleau on the 6th of October 2024 at 18h.
The tension between art flows and value flows is at the heart of The Sphere, a research-creation project Erik co-founded that explores experimental ecologies of funding for the live arts. The Sphere has taken shape by developing different commoning rituals and protocols that resist the usual flattening of values against the horizon of the merely economically viable, playfully adopting front-end approaches to navigate the positive unconscious – the financial back-end – of social life. In this presentation, he will revisit some of these (crypto)relational techniques from a speculative pragmatist perspective, focusing on Proof-of-Celebration, a closing exhibition and event series that spans over Summer and Fall of 2024 and that includes The Anarchiving game (www.anarchiving.thesphere.as), an on-chain collaborative event where participants are invited to mint constellations of fragments branching in and through the Sphere’s creative journey.
