The YEATCA is open to artists under 30 who were born in one of the following countries: Albania, Austria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine.
Application is free and can be completed by filling out the online form on Trieste Contemporanea’s website. Applicants are required to submit a valid document proving the country of birth, a portfolio composed of at least 5 recent works accompanied by captions and brief descriptions, a personal and brief „artistic statement“ and a CV. All documentation must be submitted in English.
The applications will be evaluated by an international jury of art curators and professionals, who will select the winner shortly after the application deadline.
The selected artist will be invited in Trieste to plan a solo exhibition, opening at Studio Tommaseo in December 2025. The exhibition budget includes curatorial support, publication of a catalog and coverage of travel and accommodation expenses for the artist to attend the installation and opening.
