The Self-Employed Working Group deals with issues related to the social, legal and work status of independent artists, such as tax debts of independent artists, legal regulation of the obligation to pay contributions to independent artists, the possibility of increasing the base, harmonization of various regulations and laws related to independent artists and interpreted differently this status, advocating for relief related to the working status of freelancers, campaigning for the status of an independent artist to be legally and financially clearly defined.

The Youth Biennial is a special program-organizational unit made up of new members of the Association, as well as students and other young people active in the field of culture and art, and currently has around 100 people. The group implements various exhibition and educational programs and projects. The group carries out its activities in cooperation with the Arts Council. The coordinator of the BM organizational team changes on a monthly basis. The call for inclusion of new members is always open. In addition, as an ad hoc project, the ULUS Youth initiative operates within ULUS, which deals with considering possibilities and making proposals for greater involvement of young people in the work of the Association.

The debate-research program of ULUS brings together artists – members of ULUS and other representative associations, as well as cultural, trade union, academic and research workers outside the association around the issue of improving the working conditions and status of artists, as well as other topics opened up by the exhibition program and the work of the association. It was conceived as a platform within which the development of the association is considered through debates, expert meetings, research and other activities.

The working group is actively engaged in organizing the archive, library and depot of ULUS, in order to raise the standards in preserving the cultural and historical heritage of ULUS, to enable the use of materials for artistic and research purposes, and to bring the multi-decade activity of the Association closer to the widest audience. So far, the group has cooperated with numerous institutions, organizations and individuals relevant to its field of activity, such as the Centrallong Institute for Conservation, Wikimedia Serbia, the City of Belgrade Library, the Museum of Contemporary Art, etc.

The workspace working group deals with researching the conditions of use of the existing spaces of ULUS, as well as finding opportunities to expand the fund of space for artistic production within the competence of the Association.

It represents a unique space that activates the lateral terrace of the UPCZ, provides opportunities for socializing, meetings and spontaneous cooperation.
